Elevated blood\npressure initially causes changes in the retina, causing spasmodic constriction of the retinal arteries. If\nthe blood pressure is controlled in time during this period, the damage to the blood vessels is\nreversible. However, the analysis of hypertensive retinopathy is limited by the manual inspection\nprocess of image by image, which is time-consuming and relies heavily on the experience of\nophthalmologists. Therefore, an effective computer-aided system is essential to help ophthalmologists\nanalyze the progression of disease.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to promote the application of machine learning and deep learning algorithms in computer-\naided automatic clinical hypertensive retinopathy diagnosis, we organize the hypertensive retinopathy\ndiagnosis challenge. With this dataset, various algorithms can test their performance and make a fair\ncomparison with other algorithms. There are two tasks in this challenge:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Task 1: <\/strong> Hypertension classification. Given a fundus image of a patient&#8217;s eye, the task is to confirm whether this patient suffers from hypertension. Category 0 represents no hypertension and category 1 represents hypertension. This is a two-class classification task.<\/li><li><strong>Task 2:<\/strong>  Hypertensive retinopathy classification. Given a fundus image of a patient&#8217;s eye, the purpose of the task is to confirm whether this eye suffers from hypertensive retinopathy. Category 0 represents no hypertensive retinopathy and category 1 represents hypertensive retinopathy.
