Introduction
We are soliciting proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with CGI 2025. The workshops aim to offer a forum to explore current and emerging topics that extend what is covered in the main conferences.
Workshop Proposal
Workshop proposal should be maximum 4 pages, in PDF format, and must include following.
- Title of the workshop.
- Workshop organizers (name, affiliation, and short biography).
- Scope and topics of the workshop.
- Rationale and Workshop details:
- Why the workshop is related to CGI 2025.
- Why the topic is important.
- Why the workshop may attract attendees.
- If this is not the first workshop, state its history.
- Workshop format, including number of expected papers, number of expected attendees, duration (full/half day), format talks/posters/panellist, etc.).
- Names of invited speakers (if any).
- A brief biography for each organizer.
- A draft call for papers.
Workshop Requirements / Support
- Organizers are expected to be committed and physically present at the workshop.
- Workshop should have its own website which will be linked to the conference site.
- All workshop participants must register to the Full CGI conference, done through the CGI registration portal.
- Minimum of 12 authors / participants to pay for the Full conference registration. If there are less than 12 registrations at 20 days before the starting day of the conference, the workshop must be cancelled.
- From 12 to 20 Full paid registrations, two free registrations will be offered to the workshop organizers.
- For 25 attendees and more paying full registration, 5 free full registrations will be offered to the workshop organizers.
- The organizers and workshop invited speakers should register and can use the free registrations.
- The workshop proposed can only publish accepted papers in the CGI Proceedings or dedicated Journals if the papers have been previously reviewed by the official CGI Program Committee. The workshop organisers are welcome to nominate peoples to the Program Committee which will needs to be approved by the CGI Workshop Chairs.
- The workshop cannot distribute its own Awards but can nominate Awards to the Workshop Chairs for approval.
- If the workshop committee prefers defining its own workshop Program Committee and its own Awards, then the accepted papers cannot be published in the CGI Proceedings or CGI dedicated Journals. The workshop awards should use the name of the workshop only.
