Title: Facial Motion Capture, the Promise, and the Reality

Abstract: Since its inception, motion capture has been used to benefit a wide range of industries; within the movie industry it is almost unheard of for an action film not to use some kind motion capture. In the realm of facial motion capture though, things are not always what they seem … unlike its big brother (body motion capture) it still has some way to go in terms of the setups, pipelines, and ease of use. In this talk, we shall cover what is expected and the current reality in the industry.
